A yoke was a wooden piece placed on two oxen so they could work together and pull a load. A well-fitted yoke helped them work without unnecessary pain.

Jesus says, “Take my yoke.” He is asking us to come under His guidance, learn from Him, and follow His way.

Jesus does not promise a life without work or difficulties. But He promises that we don't have to carry life's burdens alone.

Come to Jesus. Follow His way. Let Him lead you—and you will find rest for your soul.
